Workplace variables

In my talks with potential clients I invariably mention "workplace variables" in passing. It's usually in response to some rendition of the question "So, exactly what do you do?" 

At its core, a variable is something that is subject to change. The better you understand the things that are subject to change and how they interact with those that stay constant, the better you're able to analyze & solve problems or pursue opportunities.
